Staff for Evansville Garage Doors will be collecting and delivering nonperishable items in a relief effort for victims of flooding in the Houston area.
Evansville Garage Doors is partnering with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Evansville Boys & Girls Club, the Evansville Otters, and Kitch & Schreiber Advertising to contribute items.
The items they are looking for include water, canned goods, cleaning supplies, paper products, and other dry goods.
The goal is to fill a 30′ box truck which will be driven to Houston by Evansville Garage Doors staff on Monday, September 11.
Evansville Garage Doors will be at Bosse Field on Thursday at 6:35 p.m. to receive items. You can earn $3 off the ticket price for the final Otters regular season game with the contribution of bottled water, canned goods, cleaning supplies, paper products, and other dry goods.
You can also deliver items to Evansville Garage Doors at 808 Division St. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Items are also being collected Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Donations will also be collected Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North High School Baseball Complex on the southeast corner of the campus.
